DENSO associates collect $3,040 for Toys for Tots
Date: 1999-12-21

DENSO Manufacturing Michigan, Inc. (DMMI) associates have pulled together again for another successful Toys for Tots collection. Associates collected enough from pop bottle returns and cash donations to contribute $3,040 to the program, surpassing their collection last year of $2619.80.

Plant Engineering associates collected returnable pop bottles and new, unwrapped toy donations from all DMMI associates.

On December 21, First Sargent Timothy Scott and Corporal Jamie Heck from the Marine Corps will receive a check and the toys at the DENSO facility.

Plant Engineering associates Lorraine Thompson, Fran O'Neil and Robert Mathahs have organized the DENSO Toys for Tots campaign for the past 3 years.

"It's a wonderful feeling to know we have helped the children in our community have a brighter Christmas," says Lorraine Thompson.

Toys for Tots is a donation drive organized each year by the Marine Corps to help make Christmas for needy children across the nation a little merrier.
