DMMI to celebrate 15th anniversary
Date: 2001-06-27 DENSO Manufacturing Michigan, Inc., the first DENSO manufacturing company in the U.S., will celebrate 15 years of operation on Saturday, July 7, which has been designated officially “DENSO Day” at the Battle Creek Hot Air Balloon Championship.
More than 4,700 persons, including DENSO associates and their families will be attending the day-long celebration at the Balloon Championship. While at the Balloon Championship, associates and their families will enjoy a picnic, carnival rides, a raffle, clowns, face painting and juggling, as well as the balloon launch and other activities taking place at the championship. The 15th anniversary celebration will end with the fireworks display at 10:30 p.m.
DENSO is also a major sponsor of the Balloon Championship and will have a balloon at the championship that runs from July 3-8.
DMMI, which manufactures automotive heating and cooling systems, opened in 1986 with 200 employees. It is now one of the largest employers in Battle Creek with 2,100 associates.
